Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Moshi / Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Pre-climb briefing and overnight stay.

Day 2 Marangu Route: Mandara Hut (2,700 m)

Drive to Marangu Gate and start the trek through lush rainforest. Trek to Mandara Hut (2,700 m). Overnight at Mandara Hut.

Day 3 Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720 m)

Climb through bamboo zones and moorlands. Enjoy spectacular views along the way and overnight at Horombo Hut.

Day 4 Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700 m)

Ascend across alpine desert landscapes to Kibo Hut. Prepare for summit attempt. Overnight at Kibo Hut.

Day 5 Summit Day: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) and Descent to Horombo Hut

Start the summit trek around midnight. Reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise for breathtaking views. Descend to Horombo Hut for overnight rest.

Day 6 Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate / Departure

Trek down to Marangu Gate. Transfer back to Moshi or Arusha for onward travel.
